CELTICS SHOULD COVER

With the Lakers getting us a last second cover and going to the finals, tonight the Celtics will do the same with the injured Pistons. Chancey has not been the same since we got the big jinx, (see older post) Rip hurting his elbow and the fact that Antonio McDyess and Jason Maxiell will not score another 30 points combined tonight. BOSTON IS 29-0 ALLTIME WHEN LEADING SERIES 3-2.

LAKERS MOVE ON TO FINALS

After the win on the road the Lakers will get the best shot from the Spurs at home but Kobe does not want this game to back to San Antonio. LA Lakers are 4-2 ATS in their last 6 games when playing at home against San Antonio. LA Lakers are 5-1 SU in their last 6 games when playing at home against San Antonio

GAME TWO EASTERN CONFERENCE

After letting us down in game 1, with horrible shooting nights for Detroit. The Pistons will try to steal tonight game before going home. The Pistons allowed the Celtics to shoot 52 percent the field by playing bad defense. They will have to turn that around and Billips will have to rise up for the Pistons to have a chance but the Cetlics playing a long 7-games series it is extremely hard for teams to get up for 3-games like tonights match up. However Boston has found ways to get it done but I feel tonight they will give the let down we predicted last game.

PHATLINE TUESDAY

After a big win last night with the SPURS, tonights Match Up should give an edge to the Pistons. The Celtics back to back 7 games series and a draining game 7 against Lebron also favors Detroit as the road team is 7-1 ATS in the last 8 meetings.

Western Conference Semifinals Series Winner

The defending champion Spurs were able to extend the series with a 99-80 victory over the Hornets in Game Six at the AT&T Center on Thursday. The experience of the Spurs will help the champs in another "back against the wall" game tonight and will get Tim Duncan and the boys best game. Spurs are 20-9 ATS in their last 29 games playing on 3 or more days rest.

PHATLINE - FIRST TEAM TO ADVANCE

After the Big Ticket was completely SHUT DOWN last night giving us another loss, it has to turn aroiund and tonight is the night on a new week.

Orlando vs Detroit -6
With the Pistons experience giving them the edge tonight and the fact that they have beat Orlando the last 9 times to advance to the next round I see the Pistons advancing to the next round even after the guarantee win by Jamier Nelson. Orlando is 5-9-2 ATS in its last 16 games when playing Detroit. Detroit is 7-1 ATS in its last 8 games at home.

San Antonio +4 vs New Orleans
After the blowout win by the Spurs the other night the defending World Champs will have the experience to take over at get the road win. Tim Duncan refuses to lose and could make it to the NBA finals. San Antonio is 15-5 SU in its last 20 games when playing New Orleans

PHATLINE - MONDAY NIGHT MATCHUP

After getting smoked yesterday and having one of our worst weeks of the year, the PHATLINE looks to start the week with a big win. Boston, which went a league-best 31-10 in away games during the regular season, has dropped all four of its road games so far in this post season, a potentially disturbing trend for a team aiming to win it all. A perfect 6-0 inside noisy TD Bank North Garden so far in these playoffs, the Celtics dropped to 0-4 on the road Saturday night with a 108-84 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, who trimmed Boston's lead to 2-1 in the best-of-seven series.

BOSTON +2 vs Cleveland
Ben Wallace still has the virus and Anderson Varejo with a banged up knee. As we had the Big Ticket having a big game in game 3, he should step it up and have a big game tonight. Ray Allen is to good of a player to keep having a bad series and I look for him to break out of the bad shooting streak. Boston has the second stingiest defense in the league at 90.3 points per game.

Phatline - Mothers Day

A spilt on yesterday and two great games on today, to make this Mothers Day a very profitable one for the PHATLINE

LAKERS PK vs UTAH
After getting the push in the last gaem and Kobe not getting started until late, I look for the Lakers to continue their 8-0-1 ATS in their last 9 games overall. Derek Fisher is leading the playoffs and steals and has a bad taste from Utah.

NEW ORLEANS +6 vs San Antonio
Hornets are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games following a SU loss of more than 10 points and have beat the Spurs SU 4 of 6 this season. With the PR have the the Hornets an actual 1pt fav we will take the points and the Hornets to sting the Spurs at home.

PHATLINE - MONEYLINE SATURDAY ?

First off lets thank Carlos Boozer who missed two free throws last night with 2-seconds left in the game to give us our second push of the year. Today we have a huge Money line play and a big Parlay to get us over the hump this week.

Detroit +6 vs Orlando
Chancey Billips out this game since we jinxed in the last one and the line is 2pts from the last game? The line makers know something here and with a day off to prep this could be the first visitor team win as the Pistons have beat the Magic in the playoffs the last nine seasons.

Boston +2 vs Cleveland
The top-seeded Celtics look to forge a three-games-to-none lead and keep the presurre on Lebron and Ray Allen will go with a big scoring night. With Ben Wallace out for tonight match up The Big Ticket will eat the inside up and give the Celtics their first road win.

PHATLINE - KOBE TO THE RESCUE

After our 0-2 night last night, the PHATLINE has only one play on the board for tonights NBA playoffs as we try to stretch to week to 5-3 week.

LAKERS +5 vs UTAH
Lakers match up well with the Jazz, going 5-1 ATS this season against Utah. The Lakers are 8-0 ATS in their last 8 games overall.
Lakers, who are undefeated in six games this post season will have a very tuff match up as most teams that are facing a 0-2 deficit play there best game, in game 3. I will take the MVP and the points tonight as the Jazz will not be able to find a way to stop Kobe and the boys.

PHATLINE - THURSDAY NIGHT DOG PLAYS

With a split last night and after putting the absolute JINX on Chancey Billups. PHATLINE has tonights NBA Winners as the trends is what I like the best tonight. Both of the Dogs are catching to many tonight to past up.

Cleveland +9 vs Boston
Lebron James will not be held tonight to a 2-18 shooting night, as he still had a chance to win the game at the end, despite the worst shooting game of James' career, as his driving layup with 8.9 seconds left would have tied it. Lebron must find a way to limit his turnovers after he committed 10 in the series opener. Paul Peirce can not guard Lebron which will hurt him chasing the King around tonight. Cleveland is 5-2 ATS in its last 7 games. Cleveland is 4-1 ATS in its last 5 games on the road and Boston is 1-6-1 ATS in its last 8 games when playing at home against Cleveland. We will take the points tonight.

NEW ORLEANS +7 vs SAN ANTONIO
The Hornets have outscored the Spurs by 30 points so far in the third quarter through the first 2 games. San Antonio has never won a playoff series when down 0-2, and no one has been able to stop the Hornets this year. Chris Paul is to fast for Bruce Bowin to guard, So I look for the Hornets cover. New Orleans is 5-2 ATS in its last 7 games. New Orleans also have beat the Spurs SU 4- of the last 5 and 3 of the wins by more than 15 pts.

PHATLINE WINNING WEDSNEDAY

Keeping the streak alive for the week as Phatline picked another NBA winner last night. With two plays tonight that will be deciding factors in the series, the Phatline has your free NBA winners again tonight.

Detroit +5 vs Orlando
Detroit has now won nine straight meetings against Orlando in the playoffs dating back to the first round of the 2003 post season. D-Howard has the nagging Thumb injury so the key to this game will be the Pistons holding the Magic who were at the top of the League in 3-ptrs this season and put up impressive 36-point third quarter in a 100-93 loss on Monday.
I look for Chancey Billups to have a Big game tonight as he will have at least 18 pts tonight.

Utah vs LAKERS -6
We have been riding the Lakers most of the Playoffs and started the whole trend of Kobe in Denver that seemed to do very well. Its hard to believe that this is only Kobe`s first MVP title which he was
awarded his first MVP trophy, yesterday after averaging 28.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game while leading the Lakers (57-25) to the best record in the competitive Western Conference. We will take the best player in the league and give the points tonight.

PHATLINE - NBA Round 2

After bouncing back with a 2-0 win last night we come in tonight`s game with another winner from Phatline.

Cleveland +10 vs Boston
Cleveland is 7-3 this season SU against the Celtics and 6-3-1 ATS this season. Cleveland was only 12-18 as road underdogs, yet managed 17-13 ATS record. Coach Mike Brown’s team also does a good job competing, with 13-5 ATS record versus good shooting teams, making 46 percent or more of their shots this season. I will take Lebron and the Points

MONDAY NIGHT PHATLINE

After taking the last few days off, the PHATLINE is back with 2-plays for tonight`s 2nd round playoff match-ups.

ORLANDO vs DETROIT -6
The Pistons are 8-2 in the last 10 games vs teh Magic. The Pistons are done playing around and basically unbeatable at the Palace going 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games as a favorite. They also are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 playoff games as a favorite. With Dwight Howards hand injury still lingering but will play in tonights game, I see the Pistons being to much for the Magic tonight.

SAN ANTONIO vs NEW ORLEANS -2
New Orleans is 14-3 ATS in its last 17 games at home and look to knock off the defending champs early. Another repeat performance from the other night and CP3 and the Hornets could have the Spurs out in 4-games. With the Hurricane Katrina factor to consider, its destiny for the Hornets to know off the Spurs in this round.
